There is a curve/pearl split in my office, and I have to say go with the pearl. jd is right -- it's a nice small size and the typing is very easy to get used to. The curve (which doesn't even appear to be an option for you, unless its availability thru Bell is imminent) is still a bit bulky. I'm not one of those "hi-I-wear-my-blackberry-on-my-belt" kind of guys, so the small size is a very big issue for me.
I can't imagine that the 8703 is really an option, is it?
When I asked that was the option the quoted for me. Maybe we just are mostly an 8703 shop? I dunno. My boss has an 8830, or maybe a Pearl... I get confused easily.
they don't have the curve. but they DO have the 8830, which is just as nice. however, it doesn't have a camera (if you use such things).
so i vote for the 8130 pearl, since it's CDMA, it has GPS capability anyway. (unlike my GSM pearl, with fido/rogers).
but can you stop into a telus or bell store to try them both out, to see how they feel to you? (since they're both CDMA vendors, they should pretty much have the same phones)
I'm close to a guy high up in Telus, and his husband is Director of IT for a big law firm -- they have like seven blackberrys in their home. It's a little (LOT) nuts.
I fiddled with a ... umm... one of the non-qwerty ones... last night. It was weird, but I imagine I could get used to it. I really need to spend some time typing to see which I would like best. My fingers may be too fat. To order the special dialing wand, mash the keypad with your hands... now.

can you get a curve instead? that way, you have the full qwerty, the modernity of the pearl, and GPS. :)

Aside: I hate typing BlackBerrys instead of BlackBerries.
