I think that they won't receive any (significant) government help, but many analysts are saying that they will undoubtedly be saved by other private interests.
I'm not sure what to think of the whole thing. I'm cynical, since if they do go under, I stand to loose a whole shit-load of aeroplan points, plus a voucher for free return airfare anywhere in the world, with a purchased matching ticket.
