Over 70% of Canadians are now considered equal under marriage law. But same-sex couples are still "less equal" in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador, along with the Yukon, Nunavut, and Northwest Territories.

I wonder how long it will take for equal rights to actually happen? Certainly Paul Martin and Stephen Harper aren't likely to be very helpful in this regard...

I thought the same thing when I saw Cam's post. But then I read the paper ... apparently the Quebec Court of Appeal ruled in favour of gay marriage just today. So, get yourself a bouquet, some rice, and a husband! Quick, before Stephen Harper becomes Prime Minister!
