12 Egan Avenue(scroll down) (Google Map, Google TTC Map) (Vinny and I work where yellow and green cross)

1001 Roselawn Avenue(scroll down) Google Map, Google TTC Map) (go southeast to find our work at Yonge & Bloor)

Possibly another one or two if we see something good today. This one is on our viewing list, and is closer to the subway.

Time to get dressed and go look some more!

It does! This is common actually, but it all depends on your personal definition of "farther away". Families with kids buy houses. Families don't want their kids near strippers, gangs, guns, or traffic. So they buy outside the city and drive up prices.

This same house would be almost *double* if it was 20-40 minutes farther from City Hall.

It's funny, because the trend lines are different depending on the property. If you looked at 1-bedroom condos, their high point would be downtown, but 4-bedroom homes with a double-garage would be further out. But at the same time, that house would cost so much in the city it obscures the trend.

IMHO.
