Today's Survey:

How many different friends groups do you have? How do you most commonly use them? I'm just wondering if I've used them in the common way, or in an uncommon way.

My answers: I have four groups, basically consisting of people near and far, and close and not (what you might call "strangers").

Good point, leads to a followup: when you use friends only, is it to avoid offence, or to keep something confidential, or c, none of the above?

I use my various groups to ask questions that I would only ask of those I'm close to, or only ask of those I'm unfamiliar with. I haven't used it much, but there are some things I might say that I don't want my mom reading. :)
