1. Vote!
Hardly any excuse for not voting is good enough beyond medical emergency, IMHO.

2. Rob Hyndman's very pretty blog reminds us that posting comments that reference results of the election before the polls have closed coast to coast is illegal in Canada. Andrew Coyne sneakily suggests reporting hypothetical results of an election featuring Fascists, Crooks, Commies, and Traitors. :)

3. The final predictions:

Crooks

I dunno. The law is written without the Internet in mind, unfortunately. You live outside Canada, and would be transmitting information to a website that exists outside Canada. You're in the clear. I live inside Canada, so I'm not.

I think the part you quoted just means that Michael Moore and Bill O'Reilly should shut up.

I like the idea that, legally, I seem to have more power than them over the issue at the moment. I'm tempted to start a public-facing blog expressly for this purpose.

Oh, and I'll also use it to complain about interviewing because I don't think I did that loudly and publicly enough this morning.

There are already several websites devoted to both those purposes, actually. :)
