...do you ever wish you could leave a comment on someone's livejournal entry that they could not see, only others could? It would be mean, but so much funnier.

I want to do that all the time.

one person on livejournal that I happen to know leaves posts which I really want to reply to with "...and? You're telling everyone this meaningless lack-of-content shit for what reason?" Sadly, it's like every post with this person. People like that rarely get on my friends list, but sheesh.

You could always leave it as an anonymous post, if their journal permits it.

I had a cheese sandwich for lunch. It was good. I'm a fan of most cheeses. Cheddar, I like.

Yeah, cheese is good.

I prefer mozzarella, actually. American is good, and sometimes I like a nice Swiss cheese, especially with ham.

Oh, ham! Ham is good, too. Sometimes with mustard, but sometimes without.

See, this has content. It's fine. Perhaps I'll start friends-only posting examples. :)

yes!

That's why God [livejournal.com profile] bradfitz created filters. They are fun!

i don't know anyone on LJ who doesn't want that feature. ;-)

i'm ---> <--- this close to purging my friends list lately... and i have a feeling people are going to whine.

it's just so hard to be mean.

There needs to be another level between friends and strangers, like "put interesting posts that I would enjoy on my friends list, but none of the whiny or bitchy ones. Unless that's what I'm in the mood for." Like Tivo.

Maybe I'm just too selective, but I haven't gotten any of the whiners, complainers, or creators of reams of esoteric minutiae on my friends list.

Sometimes, it would be nice to do a "Mystery Science Theater 3000" treatment to these awful posts...

ah, so LJ talking-behind-the-back. Just use code, or realize we all write about our own vacancies in an attempt to secure our feelings of self. I'm not sure where that came from, I'm probably just telling everyone this meaningless lack-of-content shit for no reason.

Or if it really bothers you, take them off of your friends list. That sounds like the easiest resolution.
