Another Coast Guard College lunch

c9Seriously, I don't get this place. It's a cafeteria attached to dorm rooms and classrooms (like an actual college, you see), but my tax dollars are seriously subsidizing the place. They have to be. Lunch yesterday, $3.16. Lunch today, $3.45. What did I get?
- roast beef, lettuce, tomato and fancy mayo on ciabatta bread (would cost $4.50 at Italian Deli)
- four slices of real cheese, six carrots, four pieces of green pepper (would cost $2.50 at Mamma Gratti's)
- glasses of skim milk, chocolate milk, and koolaid (I dunno)
It's crazy. It appears that they charge you for whatever the "main" thing is you get, then everything else is free. I do NOT understand. My capitalist little mind is going to explode.
