Seriously, I don't get this place. It's a cafeteria attached to dorm rooms and classrooms (like an actual college, you see), but my tax dollars are seriously subsidizing the place. They have to be. Lunch yesterday, $3.16. Lunch today, $3.45. What did I get?

- roast beef, lettuce, tomato and fancy mayo on ciabatta bread (would cost $4.50 at Italian Deli)
- four slices of real cheese, six carrots, four pieces of green pepper (would cost $2.50 at Mamma Gratti's)
- glasses of skim milk, chocolate milk, and koolaid (I dunno)

It's crazy. It appears that they charge you for whatever the "main" thing is you get, then everything else is free. I do NOT understand. My capitalist little mind is going to explode.

Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency...sounds like it could be a front for some sort of escort service. =)

"Cheap mans MSN"...I like that. Though isn't MSN free? Maybe "really cheap mans MSN" is better.

If you followed Canadian politics...that comment about Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) has a ring of truth

I admit I don't follow Canadian politics, but I do enjoy good stories of government intrigue and scandal.

What exactly do you do for this agency allegedly in existence to improve the economy of Atlantic Canadian communities through the successful development of business and job opportunities?

I work in the Communications Section. Our Agency has branches in each of the 4 Atlantic Provinces. I work in the NS branch. I work on different projects, Tall ships 2004, Congres de Acadie etc.

And yourself? I'm guessing something in information technology

IT...no. Communications as well actually, for an airline pilots union. Involves internal communications to our members, as well as media relations.

Excellent, nice to meet another evil spin doctor.

Need an assistant? lol

I handle internal communications, just the newsletter and the intranet.

In our case, the internal communications can be the hardest. Pilots are a rather unique group.

Are those internally distributed newsletters?

An assistant...hmmm. What skills can you offer?

It would be an unique situation to keep pilots in the 'loop' so to speak on information. Worthy of a case study.

Our newsletter is distributed in house yes.

I'm also working on our magazine "Partnering for Success"

As for my skills, Livejournal isn't the place...but I am a hard worker and very dedicated in what task I'm assigned.

I have an work e-mail do you? :)

It is rather difficult considering they are all scattered geographically. But we do our best.

I do, and can check my personal e-mail from here, too. Anything sent to scott8424@livejournal.com will get to me.
