Sore Throat Redux

Baby it hurts to be in love

As mentioned, I have a sore throat. This morning marked the sixth morning, and the third seriously painful can't swallow morning. So I called the Doctor.

Doctor, Doctor, gimme the news / I got a bad case of lovin' you

Anyway, he says I have full-fledged tonsilitis (which from my research afflicts kids far more than refuse-to-grow-ups like me), with my right tonsil far more inflamed than my left (right-handedness?), and lymph nodes that are really feeling their oats, so to speak. I can talk for no more than 5-6 minutes, and swallowing is quite painful. So now I'm on penicillin. Yay for Banting & Best!

(I can't think of a song about penicillin)

Thanks K. MSN ended up being pretty darn lonely. Even gay.com was quiet -- probably because I said "stuck at home with a sore throat" in my profile, meaning that there was no reason to try to pick me up... :)
