There's a columnist in the Saint John paper who is, to put it mildly, a little looney. In his column this morning on the editorial page, he used "lefty," "looney," "commie," "crazy," "ultra-liberal," and more, all just talking about the CRTC's unwillingness to let Fox News run on Canadian cable. Which he used these words to describe: "balanced," "fair," "conservative," and "different." He also said that the CRTC "would sooner let in Al-Jazeera" or another super-Islamist-focused channel in Iran (which I'd never heard of) than let in Fox News.

To avoid this crazy pointing himself at me, I won't name him, but here's a fun game for [livejournal.com profile] nihilicious and [livejournal.com profile] gueny: who am I talking about? Now maybe the CRTC should let us run any old channel in Canada, I've not considered the idea, but I do know this guy is maybe not the one to be making the call. :)

That sounds a whole lot like Paul Schneidereit's column in the Herald last Tuesday ...

Is there a "what the conservative-minded columnists should all talk about this week" mailing list or something?
