Dull Day

My day has so far consisted of:
  • fending off questions about Vinny's employment future
  • testing the oldest LCD projectors you've ever seen, and successfully throwing them out (this is not easy to do around here)
  • getting frustrated at the "misc cables" box in the hardware storage room, because I can't get anything I need out of it without a lot of extra untangling
  • eating a sub and baked lays
  • pretending to be receptionist (currently)

    My gosh it's exciting.

    And nice icon as well.

Subs from Subway? This is silly but when I knew that Subway opened their first store in Chile last week, a smile appeared in my face.

Subway all the way! I far prefer them to other sub places. Although [livejournal.com profile] gotwoody has made me think twice about them for vegetarian reasons, I still far prefer them to any other fast-foody place.

The icon is courtesy of [livejournal.com profile] leapfish, who took a picture of a few of us Friday night. I rarely like photos of myself, so I figured I'd better jump at this one and get it on my profile quickly!

What were his issues with Subway? I'm always looking for a reason to hate a major corporation ...

He dislikes how they use the same gloves to add meats and vegetables to your subs. The lettuce gets meat particles (those are his words) all over it... He asks them to change their gloves, and they aren't always impressed.

    Hate away, my good man.

Subway is absolutely one of the good things imported from the States. The pastrami sub is superb!

The pic is nice. It's good to see people smiling... it's healthy :)

Pastrami? Do they have a pastrami sub here, I wonder? Maybe it's a regional thing. In Atlantic Canada McDonald's sells "McLobsters," but nowhere else.

I had Pastrami Sub in NYC. Anyway, here in Chile we have McPalta, which is an hamburger with avocado, tomatoes and mayonaise. Here in Chile we love avocado.

That's fantastic! I'd love to try one, though I don't like tomatoes.

I wonder if there's a webpage out there for all the McRegional McThings. Seems like the very thing the Internet was designed for. :-)

I'd send some McPaltas to you and Vic but I bet the smell in the DHL package won't be so good after a couple of days. However, you guys are welcome to visit here anytime!

oh man, if only there was a way!! Vinny and I would *love* to receive yummy food in the mail. Except for, as you mentioned, the problems inherent with that sort of delivery.

We may take you up on the visitation someday -- every country in the world is on our "visit someday" list!

your day is way more exciting then mine. I spent my first hour trying to find places high enough for the plants so the cat won't eat them

Indeed it is, however, the cat needs to be in top health so I can seduce the sesnitive types!

It's really easy to keep cats out of the plants. First, get a skyscraper. Then find a 50-metre steel beam, and attach it to the top of the skyscraper, at a right angle. Then, using 25 metres of steel cable, hang your plant from the end of the steel beam.

    Watering it is tricky.

see, I have already done that, however due to Hurricane you know who (so [livejournal.com profile] bartok won't accuse me of attempted puns) blew them all down! however if you have some spare 50 meter long beams that would be great!
