Using https is different from having gmail switch you back if your connection is reset. Though I don't know when this new "always" option was made available.

hmm. that has never happened to me. (i watch that sort of thing) but anyway, glad the option is now there regardless. :D

The always option is great, I have been forcing https forever but this makes it easier for non-technical people.

It was just added as in the past few days.

Thanks for getting the "https:" straightened out. For a while I was going to stop using gmail, but I liked it so much I just hung in. Great job!!
