There was a photo in Sunday's Star of two guys in PEI buying beverages in cans for the first time. Being the Star, though, there was no explanation for the end to the ban, so thanks for the link.
It is sad. What a step backwards. I believe that Ontario still has a law on the books that a certain percentage of soft drinks must be sold in refillable containers. But it is not enforced, and when was the last time you saw returnable pop bottles in a supermarket?
