Overheated
Nov. 18th, 2007 05:18 pmSomething appears to be wrong with me. I've been getting night sweats suddenly in the middle of the night for the last week, with last night being the worst so far. I am not impressed, FYI. Last night I soaked through the bedsheets and my pyjamas twice each, over about four hours.
I found a useful list of causes for night sweats on the internet. I'm sure it's dependable and an acceptable substitute for an actual doctor.
(and yes, I'm aware of the difference between hyper and hypo glycemia, except I do mix them up often. I'll let a real doctor get involved when I think it's time to pick one.)

Date: 2007-11-19 01:40 am (UTC)When your doctor talks about the flu, he is referring to viral influenza, or the seasonal flu. It is characterized by:
Cough
Congestion
Aches and pains
Fever
Exhaustion
When most people talk about the flu, they mean a "stomach flu" which is completely different and is characterized by:
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Stomach pain and cramping
Occasionally fever
People with influenza will sometimes have vomiting and diarrhea, but these symptoms are rare.
Or so I understand. I'm no doctor/nurse/vet/tongue-depressor manufacturer.
