We took possession of our house the day before we moved so the night before, I brought over all the computer equipment so it wouldn't get damaged and set it up ready my my mother-in-law to wait for the cable people to show up in the morning. By the time we got there with our first load, it was hooked up and the intarweb was alive!
Yeah, we got possession on Thursday, so our electrician went in then and replaced all the wiring, and Bell showed up Friday to give us phone and internet. They didn't show up when they promised though, and they didn't hook up any of our jacks, they just installed one in the basement. Jerks.
I was thinking of you yesterday and wondering how things were going. I know coordination of all of the initial activities is always tricky, especially with pets involved, too. Well, my dogs, anyway.
It's going to be a great adventure! So happy for you. :-)
The cats were UNimpressed, as you might have guessed, but have recovered quickly. We just have to remember to not lock them on the wrong side of some doors. :)
We're pretty partial to Saigon Pearl. Looks kinda scary from the outside, but it's really excellent. Also, there are tons of spots down along Dundas at Spadina. So much love living in Kensington Market.
Oh boy, were they ever happy to get outta that car. Action Cat was in a carrier on my lap, panting, and Lucky was stuck in the middle of some junk in the back. He had a vacuum cleaner on top, plants all around, a box underneath, etc...
They did! Less than impressed, but they recovered quickly.
Which is funny because this morning my parents showed up with their Golden Retriever, which put Lucky back at least a day in his recovery. But he's OK again now.
