Timing, timing, timing!
Feb. 13th, 2007 04:20 pmIn the 20 hours between our offer being submitted and accepted, there were two other offers on the house. In the following 24 hours, there were 25 calls. The other realtor wishes he'd held off so as to get above asking price. Cam & Vinny 1, rest of the universe 0.
One other place we seriously considered for a while was a large 3-bedroom, 2-kitchen rowhouse near the GO Train tracks. It was listed at $239,000 and sold for $281,000 with six offers competing. Cam & Vinny 2, rest of the universe 0.

Date: 2007-02-13 10:53 pm (UTC)Again, congratulations. The house is cute now --I like the layout, and the floors look super-- and, judging from what you and Vincent did with your condo, I'm sure you'll soon turn it into your own little paradise in the GTA. :D
You just gotta get rid of that green tile in the bathroom...and maybe that green stove. It's all very "my mother's house". ;)

Date: 2007-02-14 02:00 am (UTC)Things in DC were like that 1-2 years ago, but lately things stay on the market for several months and usually draw below asking. Maybe it's time to move to TO!
