Our condo has not sold yet. It's been three weeks. One way to fight this is new pictures, so please review the pictures below and vote for your favourites! (MLS allows 6-7 pictures max, so please exercise restraint on the off chance you love them all)

Agent has not recommended this, but I read that as a recognition of the immense size of the bedroom. You're right, it would be a huge nuisance to make that change, which is why we removed almost everything except one table and chair, and the bedroom stuff. Oh, and I guess the shelves.

Looking at that picture though, I'm starting to think we need to remove more shit. God I hate this.

i imagine that the process is about as much fun as a root-canal. if you watch any of the shows on hgtv about selling a house, you'll always see the experts removing stuff from rooms that doesn't "belong" there. ("belong" in the iconic sense - i.e. no washer/dryer in a dinning room). and they always stress to the homeowner that they are selling and no longer want to live in the space, so they have to do everything to 'image' rooms to meet buyer's idealistic expectations of how things *should* be, even if it doesn't suit the homeowner's lifestyle (i guess that means that you have to take the sling out of the sunroom, too :P). i wouldn't worry about having too much empty space - think more in terms of the right functionality for the idealistically intended purpose of any room.

okay, skaughty will shut up now.

We watch them all, and knew that advice. We're removed *so* much already. It's crazy. I think tomorrow morning I'll try to remove more shit from the bedroom before the open house.

I hate selling at this time of year. Argh, etc.

Progress report:

Items removed from left to right: magazines, laundry basket (and contents), Dell box, Christmas presents (now under tree in living room), jacket on chair, letter trays.

We also moved the white cabinet under the desk from the right end of the desk to the left, removing clutter near the bed further.

Finally, we're putting in hidden cameras and everyone who comes to the open house will be visited by a "friend" who's good at "convincing".
