Date: 2006-10-13 03:04 pm (UTC)A lot of people aren't prepared for things that are much more likely to happen than a nuclear blast in their city like flu pandemic, ice storms, hurricanes, etc... Even if you lose your job, having a supply of food can help you out.
There was some interesting info though. After visiting the nuclear bunker here and Hiroshima I was surprised to see how fast the radiation dissipates. I always had in my mind that it lasted thousands of years.
