What a choice.
Jan. 10th, 2006 12:41 pmOption 1: Bush and Iran come to an agreement that does not start a war. Peace, however minutely, is encouraged. Tories win election, make life annoying-to-hellish for x years, depending on your income and sexual orientation.
Option 2: Bush makes a threat to wage war on Iran within the next ten days. Harper makes supportive comment. Canadians recognize the scary part (Canadian troops would be along for the quagmire). Martin wins minority again.

Date: 2006-01-10 10:05 am (UTC)If you make $8,000-$25,000/year (roughly), their cuts will hurt you.
If you make more, their cuts will help you, but because the GST is a regressive tax, it helps the richest people the most. i.e. if you're buying a brand new minivan, it saves you a couple hundred bucks. But if you're buying a used Taurus, it saves you nothing.

:-P *sigh* I've only got a minimal attention span for election talk, even in my own country, so help me out here. If Martin wins, is that a good thing?
