I hate to say it, but that's it. Harper did OK, Martin looked desperate (get rid of the notwithstanding clause because you're nine points back?!?), Layton and Duceppe were powerless (unfortunately).

Unless the Liberals pull a trick out of their hat (and I think they're all out), we're looking at a Conservative minority or maybe even a majority in two weeks.

Goodbye tax cut for the poor, goodbye child care, goodbye my marriage (he says I can keep mine, but no new ones - ha!). It has to happen for the Liberals to renew themselves, but it's still shitty.

I dreamed that I was a strategist for Paul Martin. He met me in the morning and by the time of the debate he was taking all of his direction from me. And I told him that he needed to win the debate or he'd lose the election. In my dream, he struck me as a really nice man who sincerely wants to lead the country in order to improve it. But he was completely at a loss as to how to do it.

In my dream, I was still voting NDP. :)

That's not a dream, that's exactly what he's like, I have read in many places. He could have been a famous Canadian Finance Minister. Now he'll just be a failed Prime Minister. Too bad too.

In my dream he also talked about being Catholic, and I think maybe I converted him to atheism. Hopefully he's OK!
