Some of you are familiar with CamBucks™. Sometimes I go shopping with friends and give them money that is to be spent on items for me, selected by them. I tend to buy the same things over and over, so this gives me a chance to try some slightly different clothes that I might not normally pick.

Today I introduce an important advancement in the CamBucks™ economy: CyberCamBucks™! I have randomly assigned $50 US (not including shipping) to each of five lucky (but unidentified) LJ friends. You should post an item of clothing that I should buy, and if you're one of those friends I will be forced to buy the item of clothing!*

Help me shop! I'm looking for fun golf shirts for work, primarily.

* Subject to crazy-ass-ness veto.

Who are the five friends?

Or do we all put ideas into the proverbial hat without knowing?

Does each person get $50 US to spend, or is it $50 US shared among all five?

I'm sorry. I just got excited.

It's my secret!

Each person gets $50 US to spend.

Loving it! Except for the last one; that Canada flag is incorrectly proportioned, and would drive me batty every time I saw it. :)

Glad you like so far, tho. :-)

LOL - lovely! Though my flashy Hawai'ian shirts don't really get much use, so I should probably avoid too explicitly-themed a wardrobe.

Yay! You got me all shopping, too. I bought 2 of the turtlenecks and had them monogrammed... then I went and bought earrings... I had to stop before I got out of control... LOL

So, will you post pics of you wearing these once they arrive?

Certainly! If they ever arrive. Damn Visa is being persnickety about my shipping address or something. I'm saving shipping by sending it to a friend in Seattle (same one we're visiting tomorrow). Sadly, they won't arrive until after we've left.

I took a digital photo of my last bill, as this apparently satisfies whatever they need. I wish I'd shopped two weeks ago, so I could simply pick up my purchases tomorrow.

H&M doesn't have an online store... that's where I'd look... aside from there, however, I shop at Club M or Mexx (generally). They're a bit more pricey. :(

Yeah, the H&M website was annoying me earlier.

I recommend anything from Bedo...since I am not technical enough, nor do I have a pay account, I have no sweet clue how to post a pic. But I can guide you to my selection. Go to:

http://www.bedo.ca/english/instore.html

You will see two columns of dots to click on. Click on the first column, second do down. It should be a grey sweater with kind of leather appliqués on it. Hot!

Also recommend the following items from Tristan & America:

Shirt/Pant: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme.html
Shirt: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme05.html
Sweater: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme10.html
Shirt: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme11.html
Jacket: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme18.html
Jacket: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme20.html
Sweater: (I can really see you in this one)
http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme21.html
Sweater: http://www.tristan-america.com/en/collect_homme26.html

Even if I am not one of the lucky chosen few...you will find lots in either of those stores. I also recommend Zara and Simon's.

Any of those stores will provide you with a plethora of options...especially during end of season sales!

Happy shopping. :)

Ooo! I like many of those! If I could buy them online, I just might. We are planning a shopping in Toronto trip sometime in January, so I'll be sure to track those down.

I figure $50 American will convert to cover some of those items...not the jackets...but they're gosh darn pretty. I didn't look at the prices, just the pretty clothes. :)

1. The next time you're in Toronto go to Out On The Street on Church (assuming it's still there). It's my fav men's clothing store by far. Pick anything. It will look good.

2. Something from Ben Sherman.

3. Non-cyber Seattle Options: Something from Nordstrom's sale, ZebraClub or That Place Whose Name I Can Never Remember Because They Don't Sell Women's Clothing But I Wish They Would, MSFT logo shirts from the company store.

(Oh, remind me that I have a GQ with a great article about building a work-casual wardrobe that I should lend you while you're here.)

Oh, also, Tristan and America (or whatever they're calling themselves these days). Anything from there should be good.

Is there an American Apparel in TO yet? If not, you should check one out here, if their stuff fits you you could buy a polo shirt in a different colour for every day of the month.

AA in TO? No idea. Sadly, most of my time in TO is spent doing work. Some day we really should spend a day enjoying the city.

Ummm... I'm pretty sure there's an American Apparel in the village, right beside Timothy's coffee. I guess you really aren't enjoying the city.

Well, there is a shiny new one 0.3mi (according to gmaps) from my apartment, and right beside one of the restaurants I was going to suggest we hit up for lunch/dinner/drinks this weekend so you'll have a chance to take a quick look if nothing else.

Ha – quelle coincidence. I’m a friend of Cam’s from UNB. I live in Seattle now but used to bring all of my guy friends to OOTS when I lived in Toronto as I was the designated “female friend who knew how to shop. I’ll encourage Cam to pay a visit then next time he’s in the city.

Fair enough!

But that is an open ended offer, and the store will be on sale for another few good weeks. Underwear is also 25% off right now. And I've gotten good at dressing people!

I am physiologically incapable of spending money on new clothes. It's weird, but like my fear of Eugene Levy, it's something I've learned to accommodate.
