Stucco-be-gone!
Jun. 12th, 2005 03:42 pmI wish I had a magic wand. Luckily, the little punish-the-cats spray bottle is doing nicely at making the stucco just peel away from the ceiling -- it's radical!

Another couple hours and the entire kitchen ceiling should be roughly flat. Sadly it's bare concrete, so I will have to then plaster it smooth again in a few places. But shouldn't be too too bad. I hope.
Better than the stucco, that's for sure.
UPDATE: Done! The ceiling is now sorta flat and sorta bare. Soooo much easier than the scraping I tried in October.

Date: 2005-06-12 12:58 pm (UTC)My father's advice: "I've heard it's easier to lay a new layer of drywall on the ceiling than it is to de-stucco. And drywall's a pain."
