Oh gloves, how I miss thee already.

I left my black leather gloves in a cab in Vancouver, as near as I can figure. I realized they were missing during the takeoff roll last night. *sigh*

I called the cab company, and if they're turned in, they can be delivered to my company's Vancouver office for $15 (standard delivery fee), then shipped with various forms to our corporate headquarters, then shipped back to me with my paystub.

I'm considering calling a local Vancouver delivery agency, the kind that does that sort of in-town delivery for $5, and getting them to do it. But this requires (a) that the gloves be found and turned in, and (b) that the delivery people, the cab people, and the Polar Bear people all communicate a few things correctly. Communication is not simple, sadly, so I fear for my gloves.

On the other hand, it's makes Christmas shopping by my mother simpler.
