Really the rest of the trip, only 18 hours, is a bit of a blur. Yummy Thai for supper, a nap at the hotel, some alcohol before heading out, G-A-Y for cheesy eurotrashy pop (and boy did it deliver, it was fantastic). Another old converted theatre with three levels, very interested and happening place. No sign of chatty Stuart that night though. That's too bad, it's always nice to suddenly bump into someone you know.

We ended up tired and headed back to the hotel without Scott, who was still raring to go. He has since informed us that it was Porn Idol night, and we missed "nine nekkid chavs on stage." A chav is English slang for basically white-trashy young guy. Think track pants, unshaven, dirty, crooked hat, etc. Yum.

We left the door unlocked for Scott, planning for him to get to the hotel later. We slept fitfully, for me mostly due to not knowing where Scott was. Despite the fact that he was staying in London all by himself for a few days after we left, and has farmore European experience than us, I was worried about him. In the morning I moved onto his bed (just on top of the covers) to get more space, and hopefully trigger Murphy's Law, but no such luck. We slept in, Vinny went to get us some breakfast, and we waited as long as possible for Scott to get back, but he never showed. So of course I spent the whole flight worried too. :)

He's fine of course, finally heard from him this morning. Phew!

Flight back was uneventful, the cats missed us and are very social today, and we have laundry to do. Very anticlimactic.

Now we have just three and a half weeks to get ready for France! It's quite ridiculous.

If you read this far, I hope you enjoyed yourself. My posting quantity will drop back to normal now, methinks. :)

I, for one, enjoyed it. Eventually, we'll get there.

Heck, eventually we'll get to Toronto. Right now all I've got is a tentative trip to Dallas. Eh.

On our recent trip to New York, I took almost NO pictures... I got a few of the inside of the Plaza Hotel before they shut it down (30 April, I think), but that's about it. Just checked - also got some of the Macy's Flower Show and a few of the marquee advertising Harvey Fierstein in Fiddler on the Roof.

Great trip report Cam. I'm jealous, I want to be all Eurotrash and stuff now too!

I wish you had named more names but I'll have to be satisfied as is. :)

Nice pictures too. Maybe it's just me but [livejournal.com profile] skaughty looks very British.

Ahh. I wish I could! I never even thought to look at his stage name or ask. If he ever emails me I'll ask.

Cool. The very idea of a British porn star has me intrigued. Mostly in a good way.

I was supposed to get to Amsterdam this year, but it looks like a no-go with my move. I'm so jealous! I won't get to leave the continent this year. *sigh*

On the other hand, Burning Man is looking more possible, since I may be undergoing a career change this summer... and my hours would be my own (still thinking on it)... I'll keep you posted.

I am glad you two had so much fun... you've needed it. :-)
