Thanks! I'm not fishing, actually, just thought that after posting the previous two, some people might want to see the next one.

Several of my LJ friends actually live in the Wayves distribution area, so I'm sure they read it every month, he said somewhat sarcastically. :)

I *really* like it Cam! To be honest I’m sitting here trying to analyze it and figure out how it was done – haven’t yet. Very impressed. :)

How it was done spoiler for you: (close your eyes if you don't want to know yet!)

I've been using CorelDRAW since version 1, as my high school had a site license. So any time I need to do anything with graphics, I always start there. I teach Photoshop, but I only use it for things I can't do in CorelDRAW. :)

CorelDRAW has a great feature called Lens Effect. I used a "wireframe" lens over the volunteering headline to remove the colour from part of it. The wireframe lens doesn't work on non-vector objects (the photos), so it just masked them completely. The rest of the special effects I actually did manually, but lined it all up to make it look right. The handwriting is not mine, it's a free font I found. My handwriting is far worse.

I'm using version 9, which I got free as a thank-you when I left Corel (worked there for summer of '99). I can't wait to take a look at version 12. but I can't justify spending a couple hundred bucks on it when 9 still works fine. :)

Hey!
I'm a Charlottetown girl just browsing, but I wonder if you could tell me about this event. Why is Jann's picture there? Is she coming here?

Hey there! The next issue of Wayves has a review of Jann's new CD, that's all. Not sure about her tour plans, but check out her website for her funny blog and tour info.
