MOTHERFUCKING GODDAMNED PIECE OF FUCKING SHIT!

leapfish is at class, and my only job tonight, other than to clean up the cat piss and defragrance the carpet, was to tape The Amazing Race premiere. I set the VCR ahead of time. Problem is, I set it for the wrong time -- I only taped the first FUCKING hour. FUCK. I noticed at about 34 minutes into the second hour. Started the VCR again, and swore a lot while doing so. Then, just to keep it interesting, the VCR spontaneously stopped taping a minute ago, and for a short while wouldn't start again. Now it's taping again. But ARGH. I am not just pissed that I didn't tape both hours (which, I'd like to point out, CTV did not actually indicate on their The Amazing Race page, only in their program grid), but that I sat here at home NOT watching so that we could watch the episode together, and now it's all fucked up.

Grrr.

As an aside, I also hate that TV has this sort of stressing power over me. But c'est la vie.

Also as an aside, my subconscious still uses "cocksucker" as an insult, when I'm really angry. It always surprises me when I almost say it.

Oh yeah, but having watching 90 minutes of it, we won't really care enough to watch the missing 30. Especially since it's the very first episode, and there's plenty more to come. Primarily I needed to vent. But if we really get confused, or if there are any total hotties, I may download it. :)

My VCR does that sometimes, too - and I hate it. It's worse in my case because the satellite receiver has to start the VCR... I can't just set the VCR on its own... I get it all figured out, it's working.

Then it just craps out.

I hate it.

Y'all need PVRs. Though I won't lie to you and say that will solve your problems. For some reason our PVR refuses to record CSI on Thursday nights and has a few annoying idiosyncrasies that drive me crazy.

Which is why I decided to build my own to replace it... :-)

Speaking of which, if you don't want to waste your time with BitTorrent or whatever, I think you know where to find my archives...
