Rita MacNeil and Patti LaBelle are taking turns singing Christmas carols on a CTV special.

In some of the scenes, there's a dog asleep at the feet of Rita, while a Celtic band plays, a dozen people watch in stoned awe, and the studio audience cheers, never mind all the cameras, microphones, and other such fooforah. I wonder how they drugged the dog to keep it so calm?

Patti LaBelle really enjoys killing Oh Holy Night.

Edit: I feel that I should have made some very subtle reference to being nervous if I was the dog.

Wow! Rita's still on television. I thought after they cancelled "Rita and Friends" for the second or third time that her career would be slightly over.

Oh please, she's always got the Tea Room.

Well, I knew about the tea room, but she's NEVER there! Ask my mom, she goes there all the time (all the time being two or three times a year) and Rita's never having tea. She's disappointed. I think, or extatic that she's not there, I'm unsure of her opinion on the Rita-scale.
