We have 2. More to the point, until recently we had them in our tinderbox of a 70 year old house in a small town with an EXTREMELY inefficient volunteer fire department!!!

I have 8 or 10 of these style lites in my apartment but none of them are 13W, all mine are 23W that I bought from wal-mart. I feel safer now.

It's not the wattage that's the problem. All of ours are 13W. It's the specific set from the specific company. We have another 8 or so that are from Sylvania and are fine.

That's good. I don't think we have any of that brand, but all our lights are CFs now. Freakishly enough, our powerbill in this 100+ year old house is lower than it was in our brand new apartment building. Are the lights the only reason why? I can't see it. But I can't think of any other reason.

Yep, 'tho they're apartment sized and not heavy duty like the old ones. And of course, no dishwasher. But we must be paying more for heat. Something just doesn't add up...
