Dammit, now I'm sunk. I went to the Humane Society with a coworker today as she dropped off a donation. The animals had signs posted near them explaining their situations, their availability, or their quirks. I got to see the rabbits (who can die of fright, I've learned), a huge monitor lizard ("I am NOT available for adoption. Please do not open the terrarium!!"), and a dozen of the cutest dogs ever ("I need help with socializing!", or the depresso-larious "I have particular problems with men.") Even though I know I don't (yet) have the patience to get a dog, and that Vinny wouldn't want one, my heart just about broke seeing them there. They did have 5-6 cats, all old and quiet, with many empty cages -- perhaps an adoption drive recently? I'm trying to pretend that's the only possible reason.

Tomorrow night, instead of IKEA? Or in addition to IKEA?

One concern: we're going away for a night this weekend. I think we should be around for at least a couple weeks in a row, just to make sure they get comfortable, and to try to train them a bit so they don't eat the plants/furniture/wires/each other while we're gone...

...but we can certainly go look...

I'm sure Greggy won't mind a fur ball tearing apart his room. A cat won't be a bother either.

Let's just take some cats into IKEA and leave them, I'm sure that would be unböring.
