Watching The Price is Right at home at lunch just isn't the same without [livejournal.com profile] leapfish here. His enjoyment is easily 50% of my entertainment...

How about that mountain climber craziness? I love his yodel.

Nope, though the third game was On The Spot. That one's alright.

oh god, the yodelling music to that terrified me as a child. I still get shivers just thinking about it...

But wasn't it just edge-of-your-seat exciting wondering if he was going to plunge to his death?

You'll be happy to hear that Cliff Hangers has not been played at all today.

But I'm not happy to hear that. Make me happy Cam.

I don't know if I can do that today, Scott -- I'm still feeling a little too icky. But I've decided to just get on with being well, and hopefully that will follow. I could regale you with the stupidity of the advertising that's run during the Price is Right...

I'm quite familiar with the stupid daytime advertising. But yes, please get well. =)

I'm happy to report that I've put some clothes on, opened the curtains and windows, and actually went out into the real world! I just went to the bank, then Second Cup, then home again. But it's a start. :)

So you put clothes on before you opened the curtains? Curses. And I had my photographers in place today...

When we open the curtains before putting clothes on, the police station gets a really choice view...

At The Price is Right Live Show (which is now at Harrah's in San Diego and Atlantic City), they have a damned good replica of the Cliff Hangers game, complete with the yodeling SFX.

And, yes, when the contestant loses, the yodeler crashes to his death, just like in the show.

Last time I went out with people from work, we were on the firm tab and could only spend so much. Someone said it was just like the mountain climber game--if we spent too much we'd plummet to our deaths. We kept checking in with the waitress to see where we stood, and when we got the total, someone would do the yodel.

In retrospect, that was had-to-be-there funny only.

Speaking of being there, are we ever going to see you again before we leave town, mister doesn't show up to barbeques? (...and five minutes of fame?)

Mike and I were just talking about that this morning. We should get together this weekend.

I want to go out drinking with you...our firm never picks up the tab.

Oh, ours will pick up the tab alright. And all it costs is your immortal soul.

Which is not a bad deal, really ...
