We leave for Kitchener to find a home this Friday morning. Any suggestions? You can browse MLS.ca to find all sorts of places, though there's not really much in the way of details, so we need to still see a lot of places to ensure we get something good.

Vote for your favourite!*

- Queen St
- Paulander St
- Highland Cr
- Caprice Ct
- Strange St (no really, that's the street name)

* please note that your vote is not the deciding one.

It's hard to tell without interior pictures or a sense of where each of these are in relation to what's important (public transit, grocery store, *$s, etc...). Three words to remember: location, location, location :o).

(I think I like the last one best - I'd vote for the first, but it needs a balcony.)

It has an enclosed sun room instead. It's just as if the building was erected with balconies, then they closed them in.

Very true. MapPoint knows all the addresses, in case you're really curious. :) All are near transit (cause KW is good like that) and within a 3km walk of our workplaces. Groceries... ummm... not sure. BUt yeah, these are all things to check out for sure.

What kind of place are you looking for? Condo/single family dwelling...how many bedrooms etc...anything special such as a dungeon!?

I like the queen street one :-P

1 bedroom, 1 vanilla sex room, 1 dungeon, 1 exercise room, 1 office, and cetral air. Most listings don't *specify* dungeon though. :)

strange st looks like it's probably a dump inside. That price is crazy for a house that big. Probably has wall demons.

KW has lower prices than HRM in the areas we're looking, but yes that's still kinda low. Wall demons might be a fun change.

I love the one on Paulander St its quaint and cozy. Looks like a relatively good neighbourhood and its a duplex not bad (unlike the one on Highland Cr which is a triplex... ewwww). Yeah, the highrise condo *looks* nice, but really don't you want your own home and not another apartment like place? Wouldn't you think it'd be time to move on in your living arrangements and *upgrade* as they would say?

Just a thought & opinion

I think Paulander and Hihland might be the same sort of thing: townhouses all in a row. It's so hard to tell. I can't believe that more listings don't have a hundred pictures! Real estate seems to be behind the tech times.

Yeah, because you have to see it with your eyes to get an apprecation for it. Townhouses in a row aren't bad when when they're duplexes, because you have your own space and half of a lawn, but the Highland one are 3 or more attached together, that's just wrong on all kinds of levels.

The Paulander St one looks nice. It seems to be a end-unit which is good. Also, it mentions a finished basement so with that, there should be a lot of space. The walkout to the private patio area seems nice as well. Incidentally, it looks exactly like where I lived while at school in KW, and if thats the case, the layout should be pretty nice (most of these townhouses have a similar layout). Only thing is that this isn't a freehold townhouse, so you'll have to pay the condo fee. I wonder what's included with that?

I don't know what Paulander or Highland are named after. The rest each seem fitting in one way or another. :)
