Meant to include this with my other pics. Here's an example of poor use of quotation marks that we uncovered at the infamous Richmond Dairy Bar, in Richmond, PEI.

I quake with rage just looking at it. :)

It's odd. The emphasis is almost purposefully counterintuitive, even if you accept emphasis using quotation marks as acceptable under any circumstances. It's been a while since I've seen such silliness, and I'd forgotten the pain it can cause.

The parking lot in front of my building contains two signs reading:

PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN FRONT OF THE "CENOTAPH"

*sigh*
