c9a) How relieving! The Liberals survived, with a minority government (so they've been slapped by the voters, but not removed).
b) How depressing! The NDP, after spending more money than in a couple elections combined, gained only five more seats, primarily due to fears that the Conservatives might win -- "strategic" voting. ARGH.
