Yeah - I bought out of the whole diamond thing when I first started reading about all of the shit they cause and the whole DeBeers' scam a few years back. I got into a drunken rant about how evil diamonds were with a guy I had just met at a bar last summer.

I like to think that his not calling me after that was due to Brian's stellar cock-blocking that evening, not because I told him I'd never marry someone who bought me a diamond.
