Approximately. http://gc.kls2.com/ says so, but it depends on weather and each plane's specific operating issues. Probably pretty close though.

TheLion ramen in fuchu is fantastic. I wish I could have gone with you guys, but I'm still in job hiatus and need to be conservative for a bit... plus, I know I'd feel like I needed more time after just one week. I'd barely get to see the people I'd want to see in addition to doing all the things I want to do!

I lived in Japan for a year but only been to Tokyo once and did all the standard touristy stuff! You should try and get out of the city one of the days. Kyoto is also doable on a day trip on the bullet train, I think.

We considered, but rejected (under duress), Kyoto. The cost for shinkansen was just too high for our budget. We're doing some temples a little closer instead (World Heritage Pass).

A friend of mine also lived there for a year, and is quite jealous that we're going without him. I wish I could bring along more advisors! :)
