Looking like a young punk
Sep. 9th, 2006 07:17 pmHow odd --
leapfish and I are having some friends over tomorrow for a monthly movie night.* To prepare, lots of grocery shopping. Also, some beer purchasing. And I got carded! I must be dressed like a young punk today. I can't understand why I'd be carded in daylight.

iambic_cub's gang's AFI Top 100 idea, with a variation: we combined the list with the IMDb Top 100, then removed all movies after 2000 and before 1940, and then removed all movies that are part of a series or have sequels, and then finally gave everyone two vetoes to remove movies they hated. This left us with 78 movies (download the XLS). Tonight we're starting with the fantastic North by Northwest.

Date: 2006-09-10 02:13 am (UTC)Really, it's just an excuse to get together that doesn't involve Survivor, which was our previous reason. We're just sick of Survivor now, so this lets us feel better about getting together to look at a TV. :)
