If I tell you who's running the contest, I'm less likely to win. But it would be pretty neat if any of my friends won, so here you go. (Canada only, just to save you the click)

It's true. When has any form of social program given me a widescreen TV?

I was checking the rules to make sure [livejournal.com profile] jdhorner and I were eligible (we are...so, no need for anyone else to enter), and I found this: in order to win, the selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided, a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question.

That still cracks me up. :)

I thought we gave all homeless people widescreen tv's now. Or was that under Chretien?

That makes is about skill, and not a matter of gambling.

I entered but doubt that I would win. If I do, I'll make sure to give you a portion of the prize. :)

Damn you Canada and your decent prize packages!

On a side-note, we entered a contest at the grocery store for some free ham last week. We lost.

It's always something like

(14+9-6)x2+8/5(6-1+18)=

Not very skill testing by any stretch of the imagination...but I guess it *looks* difficult LOL

That is like four times more complicated than almost every skill-testing question I've ever seen. :)

Entered. Now you will have to sign up at a university in case you win to maximize your profit. ;-)

If they tell me I've won, I think I would quite quickly look at what I spend each day doing, and whether I want to continue doing it for the year. At the very least I'd sign up for something somewhere... I should probably investigate so that I can do it quickly. :)
