Huge News

Lester B. Pearson International Airport's LINK Train is operational!

It was originally not going to be operational until 2007. But it launched July 6th. And I was at the airport twice and didn't ride it! Argh! It's so stupid but I want to go to the airport this weekend and ride it even though we're not flying anywhere. I'm a little bit nuts.

Can you ride it without being on a flight?

Newark Liberty has a monorail doohickey, but I can't remember if it's behind a security stuff or not.

Oh yeah, it runs between the two newest terminals and the reduced-rate parking lot. I could ride it all day as long as I found a way to get there first.

That's crazy! Why would they possibly build a modern, smooth, speedy transit link to the airport when people can simply subway to Kipling, then wait for a bus, then bus to the airport, all in just 75 minutes! I mean really.

Of course, they can't even get commitment for the York U connection yet, so one step at a time.

Now I've heard it's not a particularly smooth ride, but welcome to the 21st century GTAA.

You look young and foolish, just put your hands up and scream.
PS
It only travels 43 KPH, so you'll only look more foolish.
