Does anybody know anything about getting ringtones onto a Nokia phone? Teh intarweb is useless, in that charming TMI kind of way.

I have the phone, the cable, the software, and a bunch of MIDIs and MP3s, but the phone appears to reject all comers. Grrr.

I just don't want to listen to the crappy built-in tones. Ever.

I use a program called BitPim for my LG phone, and a USB cable connects directly from the PC or Mac directly to the phone.

The other option, altho it's goofy, is to e-mail the mp3 or midi to your phone as an attachment to a text message. I did that before I got the cable. :-P

I don't know why your phone would reject the program or any of that other stuff, tho... sorry. :-\

My phone is far too primitive to do most of those things. Email and such. I'll give bitpim a show tho.

There was a great tone I had on a phone a couple years ago, but I barely remember it at all. It's my holy grail.

Yeah, bitpim is one. Can't remember the other. But you should find some info or be able to ask here:
