Oh martyrdom would just make it worse. There's be tshirts with his face staring out at you (or worse, the clouds) every time you walked into some neighbourhood drug paraphernalia store.
You know, I actually thought of that and initially expressed the wish that he'd die in some elaborately scandalous way that would completely ruin his reputation, but I thought it'd sound a bit obsessive.
