July 2004: David Emerson sworn into Liberal Cabinet.
February 2006: David Emerson sworn into Conservative Cabinet.
I'm not surprised that it could happen, but to be honest I'm a bit surprised that it did happen quite so quickly. David Emerson had a two month election campaign to tell his electors that he kinda liked the Tories, but instead he decided after being elected to swap sides. Same old same old, despite Conservative protestations of a new ethical standard.
I also liked the "We'll elect Senators -- right after this first one that I'll appoint" deal. That was cute.
