Dec. 3rd, 2003 08:37 amDear Dr. Phil
I appear to have been tarred with a passive aggressive brush. 'twas not my intention, and it appears that *everyone* I know has skeletons in their closets they thought I was unearthing. Sheesh. It's like that Simpsons episode with Mr X's website.
"Welcome to the Island."
"I am not a number! I am not-- oh wait, I'm number five."
I've learned, again, that I should shut the hell up. I tend to relearn this over and over, either with a new circle of friends / city, or every five years. What is it that always makes me want to make EVERYONE get along? I should have been a social worker. Or possibly a garbage man (Dilbert reference).

Date: 2003-12-03 01:43 pm (UTC)Come up with a better acronym and make this more interesting.
You worry about things to much. (and if this is coming from me than you know it's true!) I'm sure no one (ANDREW) actually thinks of you as passive aggressive. People are just curious, and yes, *everyone* has something they are hiding, although, apparently it's a little harder to hide your secrets than everyone thought.
You shouldn't shut the hell up ROOACTWT, but you should understand that it's not your place to fix everyone's problems. Your advive is wanted and appreciated, but it isn't healthy for you to try to be there for everyone else. The only thing you can ever do is listen, and show us (your friends) that you care. You don't have to be the solution-maker, although it's very sweet that you'd like to be. I for one, appreciate the fact that you want to be there for me.
I've already written to you about this so I shall stop rambling now. Take care.

Just Another Really Entertaining Dude ;)

Date: 2003-12-03 02:43 pm (UTC)Cam's message was unfortunately timed, since it coincided with many issues going on with many people. Also, I'm more fond of just asking someone what's going on rather than pussy-footing around an issue (you may have noticed this).
Also, no, you cannot keep secrets, the bug we implanted in your leg keeps you from doing so.
Unfortunately the only way not to have something get out you don't want to get out is not to do it in the first place, however the stumbling blocks of alcohol-inebriation and human stupidity preclude this most of the time.
