I miss Halifax weather
Jul. 13th, 2005 06:21 amSome items:
Every day for weeks now the forecast has included either or both of these:
- Humidex advisory in effect
- Smog advisory in effect.
The past two days the temperature has been 35 degrees or higher, not including humidex. That's been over 40 pretty often.
In the morning, I see smoggy haze over the park.
We had a smog warning in February.
As much as the weather in Halifax drives one to drink, I miss it.

Date: 2005-07-13 04:22 am (UTC)We have had only 2 (maybe 3) weekends since the first of May that it did not rain on either Saturday or Sunday... and on over half of them it rained on both days. The Halifax International Airport in basically shut down, because we have had fog pretty much every day over the last 3 weeks (the automated landing stuff is being repaired, so landing in fog not easy).
Places in Canada colder than Halifax today? Iqaluit and Whitehorse. That's a change, because usually Whitehorse is warmer. :|

Date: 2005-07-13 06:59 am (UTC)I'll bet you a dollar it is not as hot or nice as it says, and in fact, it will rain on either Saturday or Sunday.
