Action Cat In A Box

The comment I left on your flickr post (in case you don't check those sorts of things):

Awww...

(Though, it was slightly cuter when I thought that it was a pizza box.)

I thought it was a pizza box at first, too, and figured with a little cheese (because really, is there anything in life that can't be made delicious with enough cheese?), its contents could be made perfectly edible :D.

My cat, Pumpkin, loves cardboard. He is always trying to eat it, which I'm not certain is necessarily healthy. He seems to have survived though.

just like my parent's cat Gorby. She loves boxes so much, she'll usually be inside an empty one in minutes if she's inside.

I read somewhere that cats sleep on paper or cardboard so that they can hear any approaching attackers. Apparently, the more confident a cat is... or the higher in authority a cat is within a group, the less likely it is to sleep on paper or cardboard. Also, if a cat is more confident, it is MORE likely to find high places to sleep so as to assert its dominance over all other cats.

:D is Lucky the dominant one?

(I need a life)

That's cool -- and makes perfect sense. Our dominant cat tries to jump up onto doorsills. The mid-level cat finds and sleeps on the softest surfaces possible, and the boy (the biggest, but least dominant cat) sticks to the floor and seeks out paper or plastic to sleep on (and eat).

PS: the pictured cat is the mid-level cat :-)
