Damn. Too late. From come copy I found online from before the sale:
ZURICH, SWITZERLAND - The brochure for the world's first McDonald's hotel was unabashed in its enthusiasm. Staying at the Golden Arch Hotel was "a pleasure as inviting as a big plate of French fries."

First of all, what McDonald's serves French fries on a plate?

Second, what's with "be with us"?

Is that Seventies hippie-speak for "let's fuck"? Or maybe they're going to assimilate everyone.

Sounds like it's as inviting as going to a sex club and running into Grimace.

There's one in Tokyo that serves everything with metal utensils, plates, and real glasses. I was shocked and amazed when I wlaked in there...

In France they have wine, and I didn't see milkshakes (but didn't look too closely).

I hear in Germany they serve beer. I didn't go to a McD's in France, but maybe I should have...

Maybe I'm just going to the wrong McDonald's*, but 'McDonald's Hotel' makes me think of 'dirty Motel 6 off of the interstate - but with an extra layer of grease'.

*I probably am - the one across the street from me when I lived on Westlake was rather skanky and one of only a few I've been inside of in the last...say...ten years.
