To those who celebrate the birth of Christ, rejoice!
To those who celebrate the visitation of Sinter Klaas (aka Saint Nicholas), I hope he brings you all sorts of loot (and even more for the poor downtrodden and lonely)!
To those who celebrate the eight night miracle of Channukah, may it bring peace and happiness to you!
To those who celebrate the unity and heritage of Kwanzaa, have a great week!
To those who observe fasting and prayer in the month of Ramadan, can you provide a good link that teaches me more about the Islamic calendar, and why Ramadan was in October this year? I hope it was cleansing and meaningful for you!
To those who celebrate the Winter Solstice... you missed it, go back a couple days! But I hope it was good for you.
To those who celebrate St Lucia Day -- that's neat, I'd never heard of it until this morning! Bring me a "Lucia Cat" to eat!

We will have Internet access in a couple places, but not everywhere. We will have the power inverter and the laptop in the car, so possibly if there are any open networks along the 401 or autoroute 20 you could see a hello. :-)

Mostly I'm just not getting any work done, and wanted to tell you all to have a happy holiday season, in whatever form that season takes for you. It's a natural human condition to celebrate changes in seasons, and so almost every society and country and religion celebrates near the end of the year. Don't get bogged down in what capitalism tells you to be doing, and don't get bogged down in avoiding what capitalism is telling you to be doing! Go give somebody a hug, or donate some food and time to those who need it. Whatever, it's your holiday. :)
