Dec. 15th, 2003 12:31 pmWhat the hell is wrong with me? I'm feeling very depressed, and I'm not sure why. I mean, I could sit here and type at least a dozen things that are bugging me, but they're all minor things that really shouldn't be bugging me this much. But despite this I'm feeling very down.
Vinny bought a Palm Tungsten E an hour ago. I'm so jealous. I say this not as one of the aforementioned complaints, but as a way to change the subject. I want one. Actually, I want a Tungsten T3 -- bigger screen, built-in bluetooth (motto: "the useless technology"). Not that I have any use for it, I just want it.
Weddings are expensive. We gave up on the idea of a catered dinner, and booked a restaurant instead. On the surface, the costs look similar, or even more expensive for a restaurant ($50 per person, for example, compared with $40 (that's how they price these things, per person)), but caterers charge for every single thing they do. Wine corking fee. Cake cutting fee. Plate rentals. Setup fee. and on and on and on. The restaurant price is exactly what they say it is. Plus it's less work -- the restaurant seems to *want* to work with us, while the caterers seem unimpressed that we're such a small event ('only 75 people').
I'm typing to distract myself from my boredom and depression. I'm sitting at the front desk playing receptionist because ours is off smoking. Ahh, I hear her voice, maybe now I can get back to being paid for work instead of non-work. Bleah.
