fireworks

I like fireworks. Ever since I was 10, I've spent every Canada Day in downtown Ottawa, wandering amongst the masses, and then watching the fireworks. I missed the Canada Day fireworks this year: a) I'm in Halifax, b) we were just a few minutes too late to see them. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal, but it's bothering me to a surprising degree. Not sure why.

Maybe I should buy a bunch of take-home fireworks ("Motto: you don't really need both eyes") and take them to the cottage in September. Or maybe I should buy a new laptop. Yeah, I think I like the second option.
