A cellphone ringtone has reached number one on the UK singles chart. It prevented Coldplay from debuting at number one. It's... umm... odd. You can listen to it if you want.

I want a cell phone that can do more than beep.

That song was cooler the first time it debuted in the 80's..or when I heard it in Beverly Hills Cop 2 or Back to the Future II. Those Brits and their originality! :)

you really aren't missing much on this one. in fact, if I could send you my speakers to make up for that tripe I just played on mine, I would.

Sadly, it seems to be impossible to get any professional sounding ringtones any more. The ringtone on my old phone was great - I need to figure out how to get it onto my new phone so I can stop punctuating serious moments with the opening bars of A-Ha's 'Take On Me'.

You can get ringtunes of actual songs on most cellphones.... like song lyrics and stuff.

Go to walmart.com and listen to thirty second mp3s of songs. If you like the clip as a ringtone, copy the source address and txt message that address to yourself. When you get the message on your phone, you should have the option to "Go to" and it will automatically start downloading the thirty second clip. Once it downloads, name it and save it to you phone. Presto, thirty seconds of your favorite song.

Mind you, they're usually pretty big so you can only download four or five... and not all cellphones will allow you to do it. But if you have a Rogers phone, it should work fine.

My old crap phone was paid for by Polar Bear, so it's still in Halifax (probably collecting dust, but whatever). Paying for one myself is (whine!) sooo expensive! So I'm currently without one.

I guess I should have said "I want a cellphone."

Perhaps the fact that Coldplay's new song doesn't sound any different from their old songs prevented them from reaching #1.

Perhaps they should have just released an old song as a ringtone, and stayed in the studio until they felt original.

*sigh* and I wasted all that time typing out my secrets. (seriously, it's a big secret, everyone alwasys asked me how I got my ring tones and I won't tell so you should feel special)

And if you do get a new phone, I suggest the new Razr phone by motorolla. *drool*

Come to my party tomorrow, kay?
